Growing involves several aspects: planting, sprouting, watering, and reaping.
But growing also entails pruning. That’s the work of the gardener, who knowledgeably clips and strengthens his plants. It’s not about the plant’s desires.
This year, my inspiring word has been thriving. These last six weeks have been nothing short of yielding control to God–yielding my life to the Gardner’s touch.
“He must increase and I must decrease.”
For me, that’s a reminder that I must yield control to Him. So I won’t plan every step–although I want to plan and micromanage every detail–despite the uncertainties ahead.
This week, my growing has been stepping back and letting God have his way with my decisions, emotions, and relations.
✨In what ways are you growing?
✨How are you doing with your yearly theme?
I am learning to trust Him more lately. It is comforting to have true peace in spite of the turbulence around us.
