Shattered Reality

I somehow thought you knew
The things you say you do.
Then with the rising dawn,
I realized you had no clue.
Somehow, I thought you knew

The things you say you do
Are wild. Passionate. Free.
Yet somehow that doesn’t
Shine like the truth shattering
The rising, burning dawn.

I realized you had no clue
Living, talking, running. You
Slither within a world of shadows
Swatting away passions and desires
Somehow I thought you knew.

I somehow thought you knew
The things you say you do.
Then with the rising dawn
I realized you had no clue.
Somehow….oh, I wish you knew.
