“🎶I see trees so green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and for you
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world. 🎶”
.
.
I’ve hummed that song several times this week.
Life throws many curveballs and tough consequences often follow poor decisions.
I still say it’s a wonderful.
Despite the tragedies and the heartaches and the discouragement.
Because life is more than just me and my bad days. It’s more than my life lessons and sleepless nights.
Life is about the moments.
And for me, though I’m a daily struggle, I choose to live these moments to honor my Creator. Which means I try to acknowledge His forgiveness and extend His love to my fellow humans.
It’s more than me and you. It’s about the present and the future.
“🎶I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world. 🎶”
~Louis Armstrong
We’re not Pharisees, we’re sheep. And though sheep wander, the Shepherd still seeks them and brings them home. We’re not perfect. He is.
Great post!

Agree with you completely! I’ve been learning that personally in a new way recently, and it’s staggering to accept the Shepherd’s unconditional love. It’s easier to extend his forgiveness too.
Thanks for reading and chiming in!

It’s always nice to have a song be a source of strength during a hard time. I’ve been asking my Alexa to play ‘Here Comes the Sun’ every morning so I can go into the day with a positive mindset. This especially helps after a night-terror about my abuser or trauma.
I don’t think you are being a struggle, I think you are feeling human. I recently learned about ‘romanticizing your life.’ I don’t agree with all of it, but I do think it’s nice to take pleasure in the little things, taking care of ourselves and being present in the moment. There is no use reelecting on the past because there is nothing we can do to change it now.
Madison, you are so loved. Sending you so much strength, my friend.
